In addition to serving on the Advisory Board, Jean assumed the position of Executive Director to help the organization begin its journey to become a reality. Her influence in the local community and involvement with camp land acquisition and rezoning has provided a solid foundation for our non-profit organization. She has applied her skills and experience to lead the planning, development and implementation of the initial phase of development. As we progress to the next phase of development, she is looking forward to transitioning the duties to a seasoned e xecutive leader who will assume the Executive Director position.

Formerly, Jean was the Executive Vice President of Coldwell Banker Commercial Terra Firma in Peachtree City, Georgia - a commercial real estate company. Prior to this, she was the President and CEO of her own company, Tri-State Realty Group, before it was acquired in early 2009. She serves on the Board of Stewards for the Atlanta Steeplechase and the Southern Crescent Business Network Group. She has been an Ambassador for the Fayette Chamber of Commerce and also on the volunteer committee of the American Cancer Society's Cattle Baron's Ball.

Raised just south of Atlanta, Jean graduated from Auburn University in 1985. She relocated to Alaska in 1986 where she began her career as a pilot in the Alaska Air National Guard. Earning the rank of captain, she was an aircraft commander on the KC-135 Stratotanker (Air to Air Refueler) where she was deployed with the 168th Air Refueling Group to serve in Desert Storm. Additionally, Jean was the Group Commander's Liaison Officer during Military Force Exercises in Alaska and Europe as well as Aircrew Scheduling, Group Historian and Human Relations Officer. In 1993, Jean was hired as a flight officer with United Airlines. She has flown throughout the United States, Europe and South America with both United and the Air National Guard. As a resident of Fayette County, Jean is married to Dave Peck and they have two children - Caroline, age 14 and Justin, age 15. Jean and her family are passionate about their hobbies which include horseback riding, water and snow sports. They are members at Bear Creek Fox Hounds and Midland Fox Hounds.
